Stays are helpful devices that control how doors, lids and other hinged parts move. They enable components to open and close smoothly and safely. You can find stays in furniture, cabinets, cars and many types of equipment. There are several kinds of stays available for different uses. Gas stays use nitrogen gas to help lift heavy doors and lids, making them easier to open. A door stay will keep doors open at specified positions so they don't swing or slam shut. Rotary dampers provide smooth, controlled closing motion and telescopic stays can extend to different lengths as needed. Special systems such as BLOC-O-LIFT, LIFT-O-MAT, STAB-O-SHOC, and STAB-O-MAT are designed for specific movement needs.
