Rod Systems

Rod Systems

Rod system locks comprise a range of rods or bars that stop a lock from being opened or they can be used to create a gasket compression to seal a unit or door. The series of rods and bars are arranged in a certain pattern within the lock and they will only move or rotate when the correct key is used to unlock them.

Rod locking systems are commonly used in situations that require a high level of security because they provide an additional physical barrier compared to a conventional lock. They are designed to resist drilling or other tampering methods, and they can also be customised to create an added layer of security. If you use the right combination of rods, it becomes even more difficult to bypass or tamper with the locking mechanism.

At FA Parkes, we stock a range of rod systems that can be used in many different industries. Our collection includes round, flat, square, three way and two latch systems. Round and flat rods can be installed quickly as they use simple clip-in rod guides and round rod lock systems can enable a 2 or 3 point closure. Flat rod locks can also be used on tall cupboards or cabinets as they have extra closure points along the length. They are made from materials including stainless steel, mild steel and die cast zinc. The manufacturers of our stock include Dirak , Industrillias and Weston Body Hardware.
