Hinges - Screw On

Screw-on hinges are a type of hardware that is used to connect two objects which then allows one part to pivot to the other. They are attached to surfaces using screws and they consist of two leaves (the flat parts that attach to the surfaces) connected by a pin or knuckle that allows rotation. They are used in cabinetry and furniture like kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and dressers and on interior doors, cabinet doors and shed doors. Screw-on hinges can also be used on some types of windows, especially in older buildings and they can be used outdoors on gates and storage units. Inside the home, hinges can also be found on toy boxes, storage chests and tool boxes, alongside laptop screens and other electronic devices.

The main benefit of using a screw-on hinge is the ease of installation. Our range of hinges can be installed easily with basic tools like a screwdriver or a drill and they don't need specialised skills or equipment. They can also be easily adjusted after they are installed to make sure they are aligned correctly and some hinges also allow for 3 way (horizontal, vertical, and depth) alignment. When they are installed, screw-on hinges can support a significant amount of weight by spreading the load across the multiple screw points.

Our range of screw-on hinges includes friction hinges, adjustable hinges, external lift off hinges and bolt on hinges, and they are made from materials like stainless steel, polyamide, die cast zinc and brass. The screw-on hinges we stock are manufactured by brands such as Industrilas, Dirak and Pinet.
