Handles - Paddle

Paddle handles are specially-designed handles that are easy to operate and can either be pushed or pulled. They are often used as alternatives to lever handles in settings such as hospitals or care homes to make it easier for people with disabilities to open or close doors.

Most paddle handles are designed to be operated with either a deadlatch, deadbolt, or deadlock. Here at FA Parkes, we offer a range of paddle handles from leading brands, including Weston Body Hardware. In addition to larger doors, some paddle handles are designed specifically for use on smaller doors, such as those on trucks, trailers, buses, horseboxes, and taxis. These include right and left-handed handles, as well as non-locking or locking options. These are usually made from zinc/zinc alloys.

Many paddle handles can be fitted to either side of the door and can be configured to suit push left, push right, pull left, or pull right applications and are commonly found on aluminium or steel doors.

In addition to paddle handles for doors, we also stock replacement paddle handles for recliners, and a number of paddle latches. Some recliner chairs utilise a paddle handle rather than a traditional lever or electric system. These can sometimes break due to heavy use or simple wear and tear.

Paddle latches are usually mounted on enclosure doors and panels - keeping them on the inside. The latch is flush-mounted on the enclosure door. These can be made of a variety of different metals, and are available in several finishes. There are key locking or non-locking varieties. These latches cannot be slammed closed.
