Details

With this slam lock the door/ lid is released by pressing the push button formed by the locking device. The action depresses a spring and withdraws the catch into the lock body. Turning the key locks the device and the door cannot be opened being spring loaded the door/lid can be slamed shut with the device in the locked postion. The key can be withdrawn in the locked and unlocked position. The lock is retained in the fitted position by means of a threaded collar on the body of the lock.
